Oleg Sentsov stops hunger strike in a Russian prison on 6 October because of threats to feed him forcibly.

Force-feeding the convict in Russia Ukrainian Director Oleg Sentsov is unacceptable. This was stated by human rights organization Amnesty International in Ukraine, the Crimea.Realities Saturday, October 6.

“We declare the inadmissibility of force-feeding, which in fact is a kind of torture, and required the provision of Oleg timely and effective medical care. We continue to demand his immediate release from prison!” – stated in the message.

On the eve of Oleg Sentsov announced the termination of hunger strike on 6 October. It lasted 145 days. According to Sentsov, if it continue to it would use coercive power because of a critical condition and pathological changes in internal organs.

We will remind, on may 14, 2018 Sentsov went on hunger strike to demand the release of all detained Russian Ukrainian prisoners. Over the almost five months he has survived several crises of hunger strike, but refused to stop.
