ATO forces ready for “regime of silence” from September

Силы АТО готовы к "режиму тишины" с сентября

The parties declare serious deterioration, and accuse each other of provocation.

Ukraine for its part is ready to provide “day of silence” on September 1, despite the fact that the enemy continues to violate the Minsk agreement in terms of withdrawal of heavy weapons. This was stated to Interfax-Ukraine, the commander of the operative Association “Center” – the head of the ATU in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions Lieutenant General Ruslan Homchak.

“We are ready to “silent mode”. But we do not believe the feeling we believe to reliable information and carry the team,” said Homchak.

However, he noted that the Ukrainian military respond to changes in the operational environment are suitable. Homchak stressed that the situation in the ATO area is characterized as “stress and complex”.

“We are now in Marinka, which is every day under attacks…on our units the enemy uses artillery systems, tanks. Verified information this morning were applied MLRS “Grad”, – he said.

In turn, the DNR claim that the tensions on the contact line in the Donbass can be reduced only after the adoption by Ukraine of the political measures envisaged by the Minsk agreements.

The head of the delegation of the DPR at the talks in Minsk Denis Putilin said that on their part there are no provocations.

“We are witnessing a serious escalation on the contact line. Here it is necessary to implement the first two items and the third to control and verification by the OSCE. On new mechanisms to talk not true,” he said.

Earlier, Kiev has called for a ceasefire by September 1.
