The attorney General of the US capital city Washington (D.C.), filed a lawsuit against Facebook. The lawsuit concerns the provision of access to user data Facebook Cambridge Analytica, reports the Voice of America with reference to The Hill.

“Facebook did not protect the privacy of its users and deceived them as to who had access to their data and how those data were used. Facebook has compromised the manipulation of user data, allowing companies such какCambridge Analytica and others, access to personal data without the users consent”, – is spoken in the view of the Washington attorney General Karl Racine

As stressed by the Prosecutor, the lawsuit aims to force Facebook to fulfill its promises to protect the privacy of the users.

Earlier it became known that Facebook has allowed streaming services Netflix and Spotify to read personal messages of users of social network and also allow the search engine Microsoft Bing to see the names of almost all of the users friends.
