The Ministry of agriculture of Australia issued the first in 12 years, permission to import wheat

Permission to import has been issued due to a substantial decline in grain harvest in the continent due to the long drought.

The Ministry of agriculture and water resources of Australia for the first time in the last 12 years has given permission for import of wheat.

As reported on 15 may, the TV channel ABS, the grain will be delivered to the continent from Canada for six to eight weeks.

According to TV channel, the permission to import was granted due to a substantial decline in grain harvest in the continent due to the long drought.

Because of extremely dry weather persists in Australia and in the current year, local farmers are forced to reduce the area of grain crops or delay their planting until it rains.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine, as of January 2 exported 23 million tons of grain.

We will remind, at the end of 2018, the gross grain harvest in Ukraine amounted to approximately 70.1 million tons compared to 62 million tons last year.
