Avakov addressed the court in the case of Yanukovych

The life of ex-President Viktor Yanukovych in the spring of 2014 and threatened to arrest him was not planned. The Minister of internal Affairs Arsen Avakov said at a court hearing in the case of the fugitive President, reports LIGA.net.
According to Avakov, February 23 in the status of the acting Minister of internal Affairs flew to the Crimea.
“I was heading back to catch Yanukovych, put him in shackles and throw him on the mercy of the crowd. I flew to speak to Mr Yanukovych about his plans. I was hoping he would return to his duties. According to my information, he became aware that the acting Minister of internal Affairs came to meet him, but he disappeared in the territory of one of bases of the Russian Federation”, – he said.
Avakov claims that Yanukovych went to Russia, some of his security guards agreed to go with him, part refused.
The Minister of internal Affairs reported that one of the employees of PAROLE Yanukovych passed a note that he refuses the state guard.
“Sidearm PAROLE officer gave the head of the PAROLE of the Crimea, and the note handed over personally to me. Thus, Yanukovych confirmed that there is no direct threat to him was not” – he added.
