Former solicitor, the newly appointed Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko Alexey Baganets said that he had not yet received an offer of appointment to the post of Deputy head of the Prosecutor General. About it the lawyer told the TV channel “112 Ukraine”.

“I have no such proposals were received, with Yury Vitalyevich last time we talked on his birthday in December 2015. And that’s what I mean? How will offer, I will think”, – Baganets told.

According to counsel, there is no value, whether the attorney General a law degree.

“Constantly this thesis about the lack of legal education zombiruetsya media, and accuse Lutsenko, the President and people’s deputies who voted for this candidate, and has made changes to the law “On GPU”. Trust me as someone who has 37 years of experience, all the time engaged in investigation, supervision and prosecution advocacy in the field of criminal justice: absolutely no difference, a person has a higher legal education or not, it will still be difficult to master the profession of a Prosecutor,” said the Bahanets.

He explained that “legal education has not always contain 100% of the criminal and criminal procedural legislation which need to know the Prosecutor”.

If he will be able to choose a team of professionals, not Amateurs, I think he’s, if not 100% will be able to change anything in the Prosecutor’s office, the improvements will be. But trust me, with the current law “On GPU”, it will make it very difficult,” – added the lawyer.
