In the adverse scenario capitalization of 42 billion require 13 Ukrainian banks.

Stress testing of Ukrainian banks has identified the need for additional capitalization of eight banks for a total amount of UAH 6.1 billion. About it reports a press-service of the national Bank on Thursday, October 4.

It is noted that banks have time to implement the capitalization program before the end of this year.

In an adverse scenario, five banks require capitalization. Total capital requirements 13 banks in the adverse scenario is 42.1 billion UAH.

These financial institutions should develop and execute restructuring plans by the end of next year.

“Given the significant progress in the restructuring of balance sheets, which took place from the time of diagnosis 2015, we expect that in the next year significantly reduced the number of banks, which will be discovered the capital requirement in the baseline and adverse scenarios,” – said the first Deputy head of the NBU Kateryna Rozhkova.

The state-owned banks do not need recapitalization.

Earlier it was reported that the capital deficit observed in Misto Bank and the Bank Credit Dnepr.

Note, the first eight months of 2018 solvent banks of Ukraine got 13,747 billion UAH of net profit.
