Belarus has restricted the import of pork from Ukraine

Pork imports from Odessa, Luhansk, Vinnytsia and Rivne oblasts in Belarus is limited.

Belarus has introduced temporary restrictions on pork imports from the Odessa, Luhansk, Vinnytsia and Rivne oblasts in connection with the outbreaks in these areas African swine fever. It is reported by the Department of veterinary and food supervision of the Ministry of agriculture and food of Belarus.

So the ban on import of live pigs, zoo and circus animals susceptible kinds, pork and products of its processing.

Also introduced restrictions on the import of feed and feed additives, containing in its composition of the pig raw materials from Odessa, Luhansk, Vinnytsia and Rivne oblasts, as well as the equipment used for transportation, maintenance, slaughter and cutting of pigs. Exception – ready feeds and feed additives for cats and dogs of plant origin, including poultry and fish, the last heat treatment.

The Ministry stressed that the restrictions do not also apply to permits that were issued in coordination with the committees on agriculture and food of Belarus, on meal, the last heat treatment in the manufacturing process for the production of feed for animals and fish.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that in Nikolaev and Cherkasy regions of Ukraine recorded the outbreak of African swine fever.
