Bloomberg назвал богатейшие семьи мира

First place was taken by the Walton family, which owns the supermarket chain Walmart. Their fortune is estimated at $ 151,5 billion

Bloomberg published a list of 25 richest families, owning a total of more than $1.1 trillion. The rating took into account just enough “old money” status, which at least once were transferred by inheritance from one generation to another and remained in the hands of the only heir.

So, in first place with $151.5 billion was the Walton family, which controls a network of nearly 12 thousands of Walmart. The first store Sam Walton bought in 1945.

The second position with $98.7 billion took Charles and David Koch, sons of Fred Koch, founded in 1940 chemical Corporation Koch Industries.

Third place ($89,7 billion) held by the heirs of Frank Mars, who created the confectionery company Mars in 1911.

The five richest families in the world includes three of the Belgian dynasty (van Damme, de Mevius and de Spielberg) controlling the brewing company Anheuser-Busch InBev ($54.1 billion) and the Dumas family, which owns the fashion house Hermes ($49.2 billion).

In the list were also members of the Ambani family that controls the largest Indian holding company Reliance Industries ($43.4 billion), the German Albrecht family (which owns supermarket chain Aldi, $38.8 billion), who founded the supermarket chain Auchan Frenchman Gerard Mule and his descendants ($37.5 billion), the descendants of Samsung founder Lee Byung-Chul ($30.9 billion), and others.

Recall that the aggregate wealth of all dollar millionaires in the world grew by 10.6% in 2017 and for the first time exceeded $70 trillion.
