BMW has denied accusations of cartel collusion

BMW опроверг обвинения в картельном сговоре

The concern is not contested by meetings of the five largest automakers in Germany.

The BMW Group is not involved in the manipulations and comply with current legal requirements. This also applies to diesel cars, said the representative of the automaker BMW.

So BMW responded to the allegations of cartel agreements, announced earlier edition of Der Spiegel. In particular, it was reported that the representatives of Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, BMW and Daimler met regularly with each other and jointly decided because of the economy reduce liquid AdBlue reagent used for purification of exhaust gases of diesel engines. This decision, according to Der Spiegel, was the beginning of the manipulation of exhaust gases.

BMW does not dispute the fact of the meetings, however, from the point of view of the Bavarian automaker, they served the necessary task of creating appropriate infrastructure for the use of AdBlue. At the same time, according to BMW, the automaker used the technology to clean emissions significantly different from the technologies of competitors, which allows without any manipulation to achieve the targets of the law.

Previously, Daimler was accused of manipulating data on the harmful emissions.
