According to Vladimir Brynzak, after talking with politicians, it was decided temporarily to withdraw from participation in tournaments held in Russia.

The President of the biathlon Federation of Ukraine (FBU) Vladimir Brynzak said the “SE” that Ukraine temporarily refused to participate in tournaments for all sports on the territory of the Russian Federation.

“Indeed, the Ukrainian team will not attend the world Cup stage on biathlon in Tyumen. I met today with politicians, we had a long chat. In the end, they decided to refuse participation in tournaments held in Russia.

What should happen to the boycott was lifted? I want to change. So we came back to Russia in a fair fight won medals. Need to the overall political situation has improved, the atmosphere has ceased to deteriorate. I hope all will be restored”, – Brynzak

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine will not go to Tyumen to the stage of the biathlon world Cup.

USA and the Czech Republic have long announced the decision to boycott the world Cup in Russia. Olympic champion Swede Sebastian Samuelsson also refused to travel to Russia and urged others to do the same.
