The Bulgarian airline Bulgaria Air has temporarily suspended flights to Odessa because of the imposition of martial law in Ukraine. This was reported on the website of the airline on Monday, December 3.

“In connection with the stated military situation in Ukraine and recommendations of the Ministry of foreign Affairs (MFA), as well as for the safety of passengers, the national carrier Bulgaria Air has suspended its flights between Sofia and Odessa on December 16, 2018, inclusive,” – said in the message.

The airline added that the issue of flights to Ukraine after 16 December will be considered in accordance with the situation in the state.

“Depending on the normalization of the situation in Ukraine will be determined whether to execute the flights that occur after December 16,” adds the carrier.

Earlier the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that martial law, which was introduced in ten areas, is a preventive measure for a period of 30 days, which may not be renewed.
