Yezhov will be judged behind closed doors

The case materials contain information whose disclosure could harm the investigation.

The Shevchenkovsky district court of Kiev will elect a measure of restraint for the suspect in the Russian intelligence services, the Deputy head of Protocol of the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, Stanislav Yezhov behind closed doors. On Friday, 22 December, said the President of the court, Ukrainian news reported.

It is noted that at 15:40, the court opened the meeting. Yezhov brought to court, he is in a glass box for detainees. The suspect refused to tell the court of his place of residence.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Prosecutor of military Prosecutor’s office asked the court to consider in closed session the petition for election measures of restraint.

He is motivated by the fact that the case materials contain information whose disclosure could harm the investigation. Protection Yezhov and the defendant did not object.

The court also supported the initiative to closed session.

Recall, December 20 employees of counterintelligence of SBU said that exposed the official of the Secretariat of the Cabinet, acting in the interests of Russian security services.

Media reported that the detainee is the assistant of Vladimir Groysman, Stanislav Yezhov, who worked as Deputy chief of Protocol of the Prime Minister.

Groisman said that Ezhov had no access to state secrets.
