Next year, the Ukrainians should not count on increase of social standards

About 40% of the state budget next year will go on debt, making it impossible to raise social standards.

Following the examination of the draft law on the state budget for 2019 in the chamber, said that the payments on the public debt reduce the scope of the budget for the implementation of socio-economic costs. This was stated by the head of audit chamber Valery Patskan, the press service of the Ministry on Friday, October 5th.

According to him, the chamber has approved and sent to the Verkhovna Rada insights and suggestions for next year’s budget.

“More than 40 percent of the state budget to pay for the repayment and servicing of state debt, which reduces the ability of the budget for the implementation of socio-economic costs. And that means reduced opportunities for increase of pensions, salaries and social payments, as well as for road construction, new schools, hospitals, kindergartens and the development of infrastructure,” – said Patskan.

The head of audit chamber noted that the draft budget for the following year are distributed between local budgets of 13 grants for a total amount of 7 billion hryvnia.

In particular, at providing quality, modern and affordable secondary education New Ukrainian school modernization and upgrade of material-technical base of vocational schools, the infrastructure of the United territorial communities.

Previously, the Finance Ministry said that the draft budget for 2019 is expected to increase social standards by 2%.
