Czech policy regarding Ukraine will not change – Ambassador

Ambassador Yevhen perebyinis believes that after the presidential elections of Czech policy on Ukraine is unlikely to change.

There is no guarantee that the Czech policy regarding Ukraine will change after the presidential election. This was stated by the Ukrainian Ambassador to the Czech Republic Yevhen perebyinis, reports Radio Liberty.

“The current government led by Andrew Babish, who next week will compete for the obtaining of confidence in Parliament, in principle, has declared its position regarding Ukraine concerning support of Ukraine”, – he said.

According to the diplomat, the foreign policy of the Czech Republic defines the government, and the presidential functions are mainly representative.

We will remind, on 12 and 13 January, the Czech Republic held the first round of presidential elections. According to preliminary data, incumbent head of the Czech Republic Miklos Zeman from 38.58% of the vote, second place went to the former Chairman of the Academy of Sciences jiří Dragos scored 26,59% of the vote. Both policies will become participants of the second round of voting, which will take place on 26 and 27 January.
