The new law on civil service expands the list of persons on remand NABOO

The total number of Ukrainian officials, potentially untried NABOO, exceeds 20 thousand people.

In connection with the entry into force of the new law of Ukraine “On civil service”, the list of persons on remand of the National anti-corruption Bureau, is expanding.

As reported on Wednesday the press service of NABOO, the number of persons potentially untried NABOO, will increase by at least 500 officials.

In addition, in connection with the introduction of new classification categories “A”, “B” and “C”, to the jurisdiction of the NEB include crimes committed by civil servants of category “A” (in the previous version – the “public servants whose posts are related to the first and second categories of positions”).

In the NAB stressed that the total number of Ukrainian officials, potentially untried NABOO, exceeds 20 thousand people. Basically it is the senior officials (from the Prime Minister to the mayors of cities of regional importance and heads of district state administrations), Directors of state enterprises, the face of a superior officer personnel of power structures, judges at all levels etc.

As previously reported, NABOO is now under investigation 119 criminal proceedings. Of these, 25% relate to check the activities of judges at all levels, 8% of the prosecutors, to 5.4% – the highest officials.
