The defense Ministry is not enough funding

In 2018, for financing the defence sector lacks half a billion dollars, according to the Agency.

The defense Ministry stated the need for additional funding in 2018 13.1 billion. About it reported in a press-service of the Ministry, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

“Need additional funds before the end of 2018 is defined pursuant to paragraph 21 of the concluding provisions of the law On the State budget of Ukraine to 2018 is 13110,1 million UAH”, – reported in Department.

In particular:

  • on budget program Management and military management of the Armed forces and the additional need for accounting for 73.4 million,
  • program Providing activities of the armed forces and training troops of 8.99 billion,
  • Medical treatment, rehabilitation and sanatorium providing staff of the APU, veterans of military service and members of their families, and veterans – 121.1 million UAH
  • The training of military specialists in universities, training and retraining of military specialists and public servants, initial military training and Patriotic education of youth – 482,2 million UAH
  • Development, procurement, modernization and repair of weapons, military equipment, tools, and equipment – more than 3,187 billion,
  • Disposal of ammunition, liquid rocket fuel, armaments, military equipment and other military equipment to ensure the survivability and fire and explosion safety of arsenals, bases and warehouses of APU – 152,5 million UAH
  • for Ensuring activity of the State special service of transport is additionally necessary 103,6 million.

Earlier, the General staff said that in 2019 the Armed forces of Ukraine requires funding of at least 112 billion, which is more spending in 2018, nearly a billion dollars.

While the defense sector in 2019, according to the forecast of the Cabinet of Ministers will be allocated about 200 billion UAH.
