"Декоммунизированные" памятники Киева временно будут хранить в аэропорту

Monuments fall under the law on decommunization of Kiev will be temporarily stored on one of the open platforms at the airport “Kiev” (“Zhulyany”). This was reported by Advisor to Kiev mayor Vitali Klitschko Dmitry Belotserkovets on his page in Facebook.

“Just started negotiations with the National aviation University on what would complement the exposition in the outdoor area of these monuments to Soviet ideology,” he writes, citing the example of the already existing museums in Polise and the Baltic States.

We will note, in April 2015 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law on the condemnation of Communist and Nazi regimes. According to the Ukrainian Institute of national memory, the new names in connection with the operation of the law needs to 941 village. The dismantling of monuments and memorial signs, like the renaming of streets and cities, must end in Ukraine until may 21, 2016.
