The Ombudsman reported a significant deterioration in the health of the Ukrainian prisoner and asked to contribute to the provision of medical care to him.

Ukraine asks the Vice-President of the International Committee of the red cross Gilles Carbonier with the request to urgently facilitate the visit of doctors to the Ukrainian prisoner in the Crimea, Vladimir Baluku. On Tuesday, September 25, reported the Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova on his page in Facebook.

“After physical abuse by the penitentiary administration, he received numerous beatings of the liver, back and head. This significantly worsened his condition. Appealed to the Vice-President of the International Committee of the red cross Gilles Carbonier to urgently facilitate the visit of the doctors to Vladimir,” wrote Denisov.

According to her, the Russian side still has not provided medical assistance to Baluku after beatings at Simferopol SIZO.

The Ombudsman expressed hope that soon the international Committee of the red cross will send to Balaju independent medical professionals.

Informed Parliament Commissioner for human rights, Lyudmila Denisova said that Baloha was beaten in the detention center of Simferopol. Later, she also said that the beating was confirmed by two people.

At the same time, Russia denied the information about beating a prisoner Ukrainian.
