Deputies of the Transcarpathian region are protesting against de-communization of the streets and renaming them in honor of soldiers of the ATO. About it on air of TV channel “112 Ukraine” was declared by the Chairman of the Transcarpathian regional state administration Gennady Moskal.

“All 76 of streets named in their honor (soldiers of anti-terrorist operation – ed.). We occupied the last place to mobilize, the last place for the signing of the contract in Mat. Therefore, those who were hiding in Hungary, Czech Republic, Russia and other countries went to war and gave his life for Ukraine. The rural deputies, city and others didn’t want them (street – ed.) to rename. Although I asked them to do it. When I did, they already pootmenyali my decision, although my decision to cancel, according to the Constitution, only the President of Ukraine, or the district administrative court. And with the ATU soldiers removed the plates, with streets named in their honor, and it’s back again Pro-Communist or other names. This brand, I would say that in some settlements completely vague feeling of love to Ukraine, and to those who gave their lives defending the independence and territorial integrity of our state”, – he said.

As reported yesterday, 28 April, the Chairman of the Transcarpathian regional state administration Gennady Moskal said that Transcarpathia fully dekommunizirovannogo. However, he noted that “there are lots of people who are protesting against it.”
