The head of the Swiss trader Glencore Ivan glasenberg resigned from the Board of Directors of the company RUSAL, the Russian businessman Oleg Deripaska, included in the sanctions list of the USA. This was reported by the press service of Glencore on Tuesday, April 10.

“Glencore agrees to comply with all sanctions in its activities and takes all necessary measures to mitigate any risks to the business… Glencore is still evaluating the position on its contracts with RUSAL, but notes that the material value of these contracts is insignificant,” – said in the message.

Also, due to new sanctions that the Swiss trader has canceled a deal to exchange its stake in RUSAL to share in En+. The deal could be closed in April. At its completion it was planned to include Glasenberg to the Board of Directors of En+.
