“Malefactors tried to convince patients that the amount of pharmaceuticals purchased for the state funds are very limited. Therefore, for assistance in obtaining free medication, the doctors demanded that patients monetary compensation, including under the guise of charitable aid, in the amount of from 1500 to 18000 UAH for one course of chemotherapy”, – stated in the message.

In addition, the attackers told other doctors how to conduct consultations with patients to get them to pay for free drugs.

The Prosecutor said that at the moment has 7 victims, which the criminals have caused damage for the sum about 40 thousand hryvnias.

“Designated officials reported about suspicion in criminal offences stipulated by part 1 of article 184 and part 3 of article 191 of the criminal code of Ukraine, namely on the facts of violations of the right to free medical assistance and misappropriation of another’s property through abuse of their official position re-committed,” – said in the message.
