The Italian company has granted Rosneft modern drilling rig Scarabeo-9 drilling site on the Western black sea area.

Italian oil and gas group Eni was forced to suspend participation in the drilling of an exploration well in the Black sea in a joint project with Rosneft.

According to her, the company received permission from U.S. authorities to drill the well before, “and we began to drill”.

“But now we are forced to stop because of sanctions related to this. And we are trying to understand better what to do. This is a situation that creates uncertainty,” said MARCEGAGLIA.

Rosneft does not comment on the situation.
