Rebecca harms wants to see anti-corruption progress in Ukraine

Ukraine must show the world unity in the fight against corruption, and the EU expects concrete results, said the MEP.

The European Union expects from Ukraine the early establishment of an anti-corruption court. This was at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration Ivanna klympush-Tsintsadze said the Deputy of the European Parliament Rebecca harms, reported on the official website of the Cabinet.

According to harms, constructive dialogue and coordinated work of all anti-corruption agencies are very important for the Ukrainian society and international partners.

“Ukraine needs to show the world unity in the fight against corruption, the EU expects concrete results, the establishment of an anti-corruption court would be precisely the expected achievement”, – said the MEP.

During the meeting the parties also discussed the issues of electronic Declaration of non-governmental organizations, visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU, details of the implementation of the law On education and prospects of the Eastern partnership +.

In particular, the Chairman of the informal group of European Parliament Friends of European Ukraine Petras Austrevicius stressed that Ukraine together with Georgia and Moldova should actively use existing mechanisms of cooperation with the EU and to propose a common vision of cooperation in the framework of the Eastern partnership + and submit it in the near future European partners.

He noted that the success of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia depends on the implementation of the Association agreements, the implementation of the provisions of which must lay the Foundation for effective internal reforms.
