The dollar and the Euro on Jan 24

National Bank on Wednesday, January 23, strengthened the hryvnia 20 kopecks, and the Euro 18. Thus the interbank market closed with a rise in Euro of 28 cents.

The national Bank of Ukraine on 24 January 2019 has strengthened the hryvnia exchange rate by almost 20 kopecks to 27.70 per dollar – compared with the previous banking day. This is evidenced by data on the regulator’s website on Wednesday, January 23.

The single European currency also fell by 18 cents (the Euro exchange rate on 23 January was 31.67 hryvnia for one Euro).

The NBU set the official exchange rates at:

– $ 100 – 2770,3713;

– 100 Euro – 3149,0811.

At the same time, the interbank dollar and Euro has improved its position on the interbank market. The U.S. currency when buying added 18 cents, the sale – 18 cents. The Euro rose when buying at 22 cents, the sale – 28.

So, bidding on the dollar on the interbank currency market opened with quotations 27,60/of 27.65, the closing price of $ 27,78/27,83. Bidding on the Euro began with quotes 31,3591/31,4131, the closing quotes were 31,5775/31,6315.

Recall that the Ukrainian business has lowered its forecast for the hryvnia exchange rate. The majority of surveyed business leaders expect the growth of dollar rate to 30 hryvnia during the year.
