MIP and the social network agreed to support the exchange of information in specific situations with blocking of Ukrainian users.

Russian citizens do not have influence on the decision-making process in the blocking and removal of content in Facebook. This is stated in the response of the network to the MIP charges that the social network complaints “Russian trolls” restricts the freedom of speech of Ukrainian activists.

As explained in the Ukrainian Ministry, the Deputy Minister of information policy Dmitry Zolotukhin was found in the UK with a leading expert on policy issues the social network in the field of counter-terrorism Erin Marie Saltman and head of Facebook policy in Central and Eastern Europe, Gabriela Czech.

“Representatives of the FB once again assured of MIP in the absence of a conflict of interest – the citizens of Russia do not carry out moderation of content Ukrainian users and have no impact on the decision-making process in the blocking and removal of content that violates community standards”, – is told in the message.

Representatives of Facebook also said that soon the administration will begin to explain in more detail the users of the essence of violations of community standards, and will improve the opportunity to appeal the decision on blocking of the content.

The parties agreed to exchange information about specific situations with blocking of Ukrainian users.

Also MIP has announced that they will be able to send detailed information about blocking for further consideration regarding existence of violations of Facebook standards.

Regarding the charges of MIP, Erin Marie Saltman stressed that the company is very attentive to the problems of combating terrorism and conducting a large-scale counteraction to manifestations of information support of violence or a violent ideology.

Earlier, the management of Facebook has notified US authorities about the removal of dozens of accounts, which were “coordinated unreliable behavior,” says the company.
