We will remind, earlier the first Deputy Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine Maxim Martyniuk said that the country is expected to the second reconnecti the grain harvest.
“The rains we have very good performance in corn. And today is ready to articulate a bold forecast that the gross grain harvest we will have 64 million tonnes. This is the second result in history after the play the year before to a record 66 million tons,” he said.
In the second decade of November it became clear that Ukraine set a new record.
“Given enough favorable weather conditions for late spring crops, our careful projections of a record harvest for all history of Ukraine’s independence begin to come true. At the moment when the harvesting is still ongoing, have more than 66 million tons, which already exceeds the previous highest figure of 2016”, – commented on the changing results of the Deputy Minister.
Grain exports is projected at 42.5 million tons, however, according to Martyniuk, it largely depends on the ability of Railways to quickly resolve logistical problems and ensure the smooth delivery of grain to ports.
“If the railroad can handle the export, foreign exchange revenues in the segment of agriculture will be ensured,” he stressed.
The Ministry recalled that, to maintain a balance in the domestic market Ministry of agriculture signed with the participants of the grain market, a Memorandum of understanding to 2018/2019 marketing year. The document recorded the volume of projected exports of wheat classes at 8 million tonnes and 8 million tonnes of forage. The needs of the domestic market in bread-grain is 4.5 million tons.
