In Ukraine intend to introduce three-year budget planning

In the period from 2020 to 2022, the Ukrainian economy will grow at 3-4%, inflation will decline to 5%, expect power.

The government meeting on Wednesday, may 15, approved the forecast of economic and social development of Ukraine for the years 2020-2022. About it reports a press-service of the Ministry of economic development and trade.

This scenario is a continuation of the basic, included in the state budget for the year 2019. It is expected that the macroeconomic forecast for three years will be the basis for a three-year budget Declaration as part of the transition to the medium-term budgeting.

Presented in the forecast scenario provides two options macroeconomic indicators for the years 2020-2022.

According to the first variant in 2020, the projected GDP growth of 3.3 percent in 2021 3.8% 2022 4.1%. Inflation is expected to reach 6% in 2020, 5.7% in 2021 and 5.3% in 2022.

Under the second option, in 2020, the projected GDP growth of 3.6% in 2021 – by 3.6%, in 2022 – 3.3%. Inflation is expected at 6.5% in 2020 and 7.1% in 2021, 7% in 2022.

It is also projected that further diversification of Ukrainian exports to the EU, Asia and Africa.

We will note, according to Ministry of economy in the first quarter of 2019, Ukraine’s GDP grew by 2.2%.

As you know, in 2018, the growth of Ukraine’s economy accelerated to 3.3% from 2.5% in 2017, and broke the record for seven years. At the same time, it is expected that in 2019, GDP growth will again slow down to 2.5%. The state budget for 2019 is built on the forecast economic growth of 3%.
