Gazprom has complained to the Supreme court of Ukraine

The company is contesting the fine of 172 billion.

The Russian company Gazprom has applied to the Supreme court of Ukraine against the decision of the Supreme economic court, which dismissed the appeal of the company on the decision on collecting from it of fines and penalties imposed by the Antimonopoly Committee, the total amount of 172 billion. This is reported by Ukrainian news, citing a court ruling.

It is noted that the public Executive service in the framework of the enforcement of the debt, by this decision, the court resorted to the arrest of Gazprom-owned 40.2% of the shares of PJSC Gaztranzit.

So, was arrested 79,877 million of dividends payable to Gazprom from participation in the CHAO Gaztranzit, as well as corporate rights and property of OOO Gazprom Sbyt Ukraine.

Later, Gazprom sought cancellation of the write-off of payable Gazprom 79,9 million of dividends from Gaztranzit.

Recall that in January 2016 the AMCU has fined Gazprom 85 billion hryvnias for abuse of a monopoly position in the market of transit of natural gas Ukraine.

Gazprom appealed the Committee’s decision, but the court returned the claim without consideration. The courts of all instances, including the Supreme court of Ukraine refused Gazprom’s complaint on recognizing the return of the illegal.

And on October 31 it became known that the AMC has twice increased the amount of the fine imposed on Gazprom – to 172 billion, demanding more and a penalty for late payment of the fine.
