Gazprom increased gas transit through Ukraine

Газпром увеличил транзит газа через Украину

Transit through Uzhgorod corridor has grown to 170 million cubic meters

For the past ten days of August, the average daily rate of the transit in all directions through Ukraine was reduced by 237,7 million cubic meters.

Russian Gazprom of 19 August has increased the request for the transit of natural gas through Ukraine via the Uzhgorod corridor to 170 million cubic meters compared to low 110-137 million cubic meters in the period 7-17 Agusta.

About it reports Interfax-Ukraine citing data from the Slovak gas transmission operator Eustream on Monday, August 20.

As reported, at the end of the first decade of August, Gazprom reduced physical gas supplies to Europe through Ukraine and Belarus, despite the lack of repairs and accidents on the transmission system (GTS) of Ukraine, Slovakia and the Central part of Russia.

The reduction in supply has led to falling average daily rate of transit through Ukraine (in all directions) during the 1-18 August and 237,7 million cubic meters, compared to 272.8 million cubic meters/day in July and 253.3 million cubic meters/day in June.

Recall, Ukraine increased gas transit in July by 13%. At the end of last month the transit of gas through Ukrainian territory increased by 950 million cubic meters.

It also became known that Ukraine has sharply reduced gas imports from the beginning of 2018 – by 31.5%, or 2.56 billion cubic meters.
