The company Gazprom has received permission from the Turkish authorities for construction of the second pipeline Turkish stream. On Friday, January 19, TASS with reference to head of the company Alexey Miller.

“Today we received permission for laying the second line in the exclusive economic zone and territorial waters of Turkey,” he said.

According to Miller, the two strings will be put into operation before the end of 2019.

It is noted that investments of Gazprom in the project of the Turkish stream by 2018 to $ 182.4 billion rubles (about $3.2 billion) against 92,8 billion (about $1.6 billion) in 2017. The cost of construction of the Turkish stream is estimated at $6 billion.

We will remind, in November 2017, it was reported that Gazprom completed the construction of two pipelines Nord stream on the territory of Russia and continued the construction of one of the strings in the economic zone of Turkey.

Turkish stream project bitransitive export pipeline from Russia to Turkey. It involves the construction of two branches of the gas pipeline under the Black sea bypassing Ukraine. The first line will be for the supply of gas to the Turkish market, the second – for the transit of fuel to Europe.
