In the third quarter growth of the Ukrainian economy slowed sharply

Ukraine’s economy is growing 11 consecutive quarters, according to the state statistics service despite the sharp drop dynamics.

In the third quarter of 2018 Rrst gross domestic product of Ukraine was 2.8% compared to the same period in 2017, while in the second quarter it was 3.8% in the first and 3.1%. Such a rapid assessment was published by the state statistics service on Wednesday, November 14.

The Department clarifies that, compared to the previous quarter the economy in the third quarter of the current year (including seasonal factors) added 0.4 percent.

“Ukraine’s economy is growing 11 consecutive quarters… this Situation corresponds to the forecasts of the government and international partners”, – stated in the message.

The state statistics service published preliminary estimate of gross domestic product (GDP) of Ukraine in the third quarter of 2018. About it reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to the State statistics service.

Earlier, the national Bank said that by the end of the third quarter the growth of the Ukrainian economy will slow down to 3.1% from 3.8% in the second quarter.

In August it was reported that in the second quarter the Ukrainian economy has accelerated to 3.6%. Compared to the previous quarter the economy added 0.9 percent.
