Gerashchenko’s leaving from “Minsk group”
Iryna Gerashchenko has written a resignation from the post of representative in the humanitarian sub-group in Minsk.
First Vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko has written a resignation from office of the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine on peaceful settlement and representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian sub-group in Minsk. About it reports RBC-Ukraine.
“Now there are debates about the reboot of the Minsk group. I want to inform you that today I wrote a statement as the representative of the President of Petro Poroshenko on the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas and Ukraine’s representative to the humanitarian subgroup with a request to release me from these posts. I thanked President Poroshenko for this high honor to work in his team”, – said Gerashchenko.
However, she assured that will help the new government to contribute to the solution of those questions which will be in the format of the Minsk group.
“We remain open to the new government in order to facilitate the solution of those questions which will be in the format of the Minsk group. But it is obvious that there has to be reloaded”, she added.
Before Gerashchenko reported that “Easter” truce in the Donbas failed to agree. Negotiations continued on Skype for six hours and ended inconclusively, said Irina Gerashchenko.
