Гончарук не видит проблемы в походе на скандальный концерт

Goncharuk says that he is far from radical views

The Prime Minister said that came to the concert out of respect for the veterans, and the scandalous performance of the group wasn’t listening.

Prime Minister Alexey Goncharuk said that called for a scandalous concert, which was made by the far-right group sokira Peruna, at the invitation of veterans, and the concert wasn’t listening. He said this on Wednesday, 16 October, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

“At this event I was invited by the community of veterans. I believe that veterans are the people who did a lot for our country, so I definitely accepted the invitation out of respect for these people. As far as I know, at this event there were many different groups with many different people. It was not a concert for one band that I specifically went because I’m a fan. This is not so,” he said, answering the question about the motives of the event.

The Prime Minister also stressed that he never heard the words of the songs sokira Peruna.

“I believe that there are many people who use different occasions in order to split the Ukrainian society. They can anyone make a fascist, a Nazi, and they didn’t have a lot of trouble,” – said Goncharuk.

He noted that the human values are the Foundation that should unite Ukraine.

“Any right – or left-wing radical views in my case for sure it is not” – said the Prime Minister.

Recall, October 13, Goncharuk visited the event, organized by the accused in the murder of journalist Olesya Elderberry Andrew Medvedko. It was made by the group sokira Peruna, after the concert, which in the spring of 2018 in Kiev police opened a criminal case due to the use of swastikas and other Nazi symbols.

In the network appeared the video of the speech Goncharuk at the concert. The head of the government on the eve of Day of the defender thanked the nationalists “for the opportunity to live in a peaceful world”.
