The Prime Minister ordered the Ministry of internal Affairs as soon as possible to provide action plan on fire safety throughout Ukraine.

Premier Alexey Goncharuk instructed to suspend from duty during the investigation of the fire at the Odessa College head of GU gschs in Odessa region Victor Fedorchak, his Deputy for the prevention of Mikhail Vovk and head of Department of education Alexander Lanaka.

“I instructed the head of gschs immediately suspended from duty pending investigation the chief of head Department gschs in Odessa region Victor Fedorchak and his Deputy for the prevention of Mikhail Vovk, and take appropriate personnel decisions. And to Mr. Fedorchak recommended to write the application at own will. The situation when four recent high-profile fire casualties occurred in one area – unacceptable! The Chairman of regional state administration – to dismiss the head of the Department of education Alexander Lanaka and also take appropriate personnel decisions,” wrote Goncharuk in Facebook on the visit to Odessa.

The Prime Minister also instructed as soon as possible to the Minister of education and science Anna Novosad “to make an inventory of all educational institutions and put a real order in schools”.

The Ministry of internal Affairs is tasked to provide a plan of measures for fire safety in Ukraine.

Goncharuk reported that on Tuesday, December 10, will earn the government Commission which must establish all the causes of the fire.

He also appealed to the Chairman of the parliamentary faction David Arakhamiya with a request to prepare a submission to the President about assignment of ranks of Heroes of Ukraine killed in the fire rescuer Sergey Shatohina and teacher Anna Bartok, “who gave their lives saved others.”

Recall that the number of victims of fire in Odessa has reached 10 people. President Vladimir Zelensky has declared November 8 a nationwide mourning in memory of victims of the fire in the Odessa College.
