The company has created a special service for tracking information about political advertising placed on its resources.

Google will report on the buyers of political advertising and the amounts they have spent, it said in a statement released on Wednesday, August 15, on its official website.

Such actions will be taken by Google in the mid-year report in order to ensure the transparency of its activities.

It is noted that such measure will affect advertisers, who, since may 31, 2018, spent on political advertising in Google more than $ 500.

Earlier in June such measures went to Twitter and Facebook in connection with allegations of providing insufficient information on expenditures for political advertising.

It is expected that Google will update the weekly data, which will allow users to track fresh advertising publications, as well as new advertisers.
