The Prosecutor General’s office considered secret information, announced Lutsenko

The attorney General and Minister of justice talked about 40 billion dollars.

General Prosecutor’s office acknowledged an investigation secret and refused to divulge information on the exact amount of damage inflicted on the Ukraine during the performance of Viktor Yanukovych duties of the President. It is stated in the official comments received in response to the request of the Correspondent.

According to GPU, the amount of damage caused by ex-President Yanukovych and Ukraine, is the information pre-trial investigation, and thus fall under article 222 of the criminal procedure code of Ukraine, and also under the action of two articles, 6 and 8 of the Law “On access to public information” and may not be available to the public.

We will remind, on may 22, the Minister of justice Pavel Petrenko in conversation with reporters, said that during the three years of presidency of Viktor Yanukovych had stolen around $ 40 billion

Later, on may 24, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko, speaking in the Verkhovna Rada with an annual report, stated that ” …according to the expert conclusion, in particular, of the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine during Yanukovych’s Ukraine was damaged more than 40 billion US dollars. This is approximately one of the annual expenditures of the state budget. I think it’s peak”.
