Ex-“berkutovets” received money for Euromaidan dispersal

All former members of the Berkut were paid UAH 50 million.

Former members of the Berkut unit, who dispersed the participants of the Maidan in winter 2013-2014, paying from 3 to 5 thousand hryvnia. This was during the briefing said the head of the Department of special investigations of the GPU Sergey Gorbatyuk.

According to him, such payments were regular from December 2013 until February 2014. All were paid UAH 50 million.

Gorbatyuk said that 5 thousand hryvnias were paid officers, and 3 were intended ordinary.

He noted that the funds were aimed at the fact that security forces are carrying out illegal actions against protesters, after which the leadership of the state can expect that the Maidan will be terminated.

We will remind, earlier the Prosecutor General’s office reported that the victims in the case of crimes against protesters on the Maidan of Independence recognized by more than 1,500 people.
