In particular, wheat exports, which showed a steadily rising trend over the past 6 years, decreased by 2% from the record figure of the 2016-2017 marketing year.

For the year purchases of barley remained at the previous year’s level.

As for corn, in the 2017-2018 marketing year, Ukraine was not able to fully realize its export potential because of competition with South American proposal.

Earlier it was reported that since the beginning of the current marketing year, Ukraine exported nearly 6 million tons of grain crops.

It was also reported that Ukraine reduced the yield of early grain crops. With an area of 9.9 million hectares harvested 34.3 million tons of grain, which is three million less than the year before.
