The head of the government said that if the ex-owners of PrivatBank will not fulfill their obligations they will be criminalized.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman said on air of the ICTV, if the obligations of the former shareholders of PrivatBank are not met, they face criminal liability for failure to comply with the law.

“If commitments are made, then it will be the appropriate solution if they are not satisfied, including the national Bank will witness it and then be criminally liable for failure to comply with the law,” − said the Prime Minister.

Note that one of the former owners of the Bank Igor Kolomoisky said that former shareholders of PrivatBank continue negotiations to restructure existing before the financial institution obligations.

We will remind, the Ministry of Finance has published the letter of Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Bogolyubov, which they sent 16 December 2016 in the Cabinet asking to nationalize the Bank and promises to restructure its loan portfolio until July 1, 2017 to cover the losses of the state.

In NBU said that the ex-owners of PrivatBank have not fulfilled commitments for voluntary debt restructuring.
