Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman during his official visit to Turkey met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The parties have coordinated their positions on preventing the militarization of Crimea and the situation with human rights violations in Russia-occupied Crimea and Donbas. This was reported by the press service of the government.

“Preventing the militarization of Crimea and the liberation of our occupied territories is the major issues on the international agenda”, – he stressed.

Volodymyr Groysman noted that Ukraine hopes for further support of the Turkish side to resolve the conflict, as well as assistance in the solution of problems of Crimean Tatars, including the development of migrants on the mainland of Ukraine.

Special attention during the talks of Prime Minister of Ukraine attracted to the problems with human rights violations in the occupied Russian Federation Crimea.

The occupation authorities are creating all sorts of difficulties for the independent monitoring of compliance with international standards in the field of human rights on the Peninsula, in particular from international human rights organizations, resulted in massive outflow of citizens of Ukraine from the Crimea. Russia has moved to a new level of political persecution – the persecution of the advocates of the Crimean Tatar leaders.

Of particular concern, he said, causes the development of military infrastructure in Crimea.

Important for Ukraine is the international solidarity, observance of international non-recognition policy of the annexation of Crimea, said Vladimir Groisman.

“The issue of militarization of the Crimea is not only Ukraine’s problem, it is a problem of regional and global security”, – said the Prime Minister.

Volodymyr Groysman commended the firm position of the Turkish Republic on the inadmissibility of the development of economic cooperation with the occupied Crimea. Separately he expressed gratitude for the decision before the visit, the decision on the termination of marine communication between the occupied Crimea and Turkey.

Earlier it was reported that while in Ankara with an official visit of Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman reached agreements with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries, in particular the implementation of specific projects.
