In London held talks with Prime Ministers of Ukraine and the UK.

Ukraine initiates the beginning of negotiations on creation of free trade area (FTA) with Britain after a Brexit. This was during a visit to London, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, who held talks with the head of the British government, Theresa may.

“We have discussed issues of deepening of our economic cooperation. If you look at the trade between the two countries, for the year is slightly more than $ 2 billion, and the potential can be $ 3.5 billion”, – quotes the Ukrainian government portal.

In his view, given Britain’s decision to withdraw from the EU, we need to talk about the new principles of economic cooperation with London.

“I raised the question and found support to the fact that we started a consultation on approaches for establishing a free trade zone with Britain,” – said Ukrainian Prime Minister.

Recall now that the free trade zone is in force between Ukraine and the EU. From September 1, will earn an FTA with Canada. There are also talks about a free trade zone with Turkey and Israel.
