The leadership of the Japanese automaker Honda intends to close its factory in the UK, which employs more than 3,500 people. The corresponding statement is going to publish soon. On Monday, February 18, Euronews reports citing British media.

In Honda’s fear that in the case of the United Kingdom from the EU will increase significantly the delivery time of different products from the EU to the UK. Now if it takes five hours to days, after Brexit, this figure can increase to nine days.

Earlier, the company announced a temporary shutdown of businesses due to Brexit. Today the plant in Swindon is Honda the only company on the territory of the European Union. Production in this English city was launched 30 years ago, and even in the fall, the Japanese automaker has said it will not close the factory, whatever the outcome of negotiations between London and Brussels.
