First Deputy head of the Special monitoring mission (SMM) of the OSCE in Ukraine Alexander hug will today pay a visit to the Donbass because of the deteriorating security situation over the past day. This is stated in the message on the organization’s website Thursday, may 17.
“During the visit Mr. hug will assess the security situation along the contact line and its impact on the civilian population, and will also discuss with the parties involved measures to reduce tensions,” – noted in the organization.
Earlier it became known that the Special OSCE monitoring mission has resumed patrols in Donetsk filtering station and the surrounding areas.
