At the Simferopol detention center without medical care died a citizen of Ukraine. This was reported by the Crimean human rights group.

It is reported that Sergey Gliniany from Sebastopol died 30 August 2016 in SIZO-1 of Simferopol due to the lack of medical care.

Human rights activists reminded that the citizen of Ukraine Valery Kerimov died on 8 September 2016 in the penal colony № 1 of the Republic of Adygea (Russia). In a colony of Russia, he was transferred from correctional facility occupied Crimea.

“He was sick with hepatitis and tuberculosis, it was not timely medical assistance, with the result that he died”, – stated in the message.

In addition, it is reported that in respect of the other two Ukrainians there are serious concerns for their lives.

“Yuri Sayenko is in IK-2 in Rostov-on-don, and Leyla Huseynova — in the detention center of Simferopol. Both prisoners found to have HIV and hepatitis, they need urgent medical assistance”, – said the Crimean human rights group.

According to the lawyer Roman Martynovskiy, during the period of annexation from the Crimea to the penitentiary institutions of the Russian Federation had exported 2,200 Ukrainian citizens who were incarcerated, among them 240 women.
