To build a new bridge in Hungary is going over the river Tisza in Transcarpathia. Now will be developed the feasibility study of construction .

Hungary intends to build a new bridge over the Tisza river near the Zakarpatye city Chop. It is reported by the Ukrainian Embassy in Hungary.

On Friday, March 1, the Ministry of infrastructure of Ukraine held a bilateral meeting with the Secretary of state on regional and border cooperation of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter kiss-Partio and the Ambassador of Hungary in Ukraine istván Idare.

“The Hungarian side, it was noted that there will be developed a feasibility study of the construction of a new bridge over the Tisza near the town of Chop and after 2020 will be found the funding for its construction”, – stated in the message.

It is noted that currently work is ongoing to reduce the time of passage of the train Mukachevo-Budapest from seven to six hours.

“The meeting discussed important issues of bilateral cooperation, especially the current situation concerning infrastructure projects of the Framework agreement between the government of Ukraine and government of Hungary concerning the granting of the loan under the terms of tied aid, which was signed on 24 November 2016 in Budapest.

We will remind, on February 26 Hungary closed the checkpoint on the border with Ukraine. On the border with Ukraine was not working the checkpoint Beregsurány, Luzhniki and Kosino. Law enforcers of Hungary carried out a special operation on identification of customs officers-bribe takers. Later it became known that the Hungarian security forces detained 16 of the customs officers working at the checkpoint Luzhanka-Beregsurány and Kosino-Barabash, on the border with Ukraine. They are suspected of organizing corruption schemes in force since at least November 2018.
