In Brussels, the foreign Ministers will discuss the program of “Eastern partnership”

In Brussels today will be a meeting of heads of Ministries of foreign Affairs of the countries-participants of EU program “Eastern partnership”, which will also take the participation of Ukrainian foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin. About it reports “Interfax-Ukraine” with reference to the press service of the EU Council.

The program involves 6 European countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

The meeting is timed to the planned meeting of the Council of the European Union for foreign Affairs and will take place in the morning before starting it.

The participants of “Eastern partnership” will discuss the development of the programme in the light of the reform of the European neighbourhood policy, as well as preparations for the summit of this format in 2017.

The leaders of the EU and partner countries meet at the summit of “Eastern partnership” every two years. The last such summit was held in may 2015 in Riga.
