So, the average salary of top managers in Switzerland to 2017 was 7.76 million euros, in the UK at 6.38 million, and in Germany – 6.35 mln euros. The calculation takes into account the base salaries paid for year bonuses and remuneration paid in instalments over a number of years.

Most of all in 2017 earned the head of Swiss pharmaceutical Roche Severin Schwan (12,88 million Euro). In second place was Carlos Brito, who heads the world’s largest beer producer AB InBEV (12,81 million). Followed by the head of the Swiss Bank UBS, Sergio Ermotti (of 12.52 million) and former chief of pharmakonzern Novartis Joseph Jimenez (11,58 million euros). The head of the German firm only on the fifth place in the list: it is the head of SAP bill McDermott (10,79 million euros).

Overall, average salaries of European and top managers grew up in 2017, at an annual rate of about 5% from 5.46 to 5.73 million euros. While basic salaries remained stable, increased only bonuses.
