In Japan started the summit “the Big seven” (G7), according to NHK. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe welcomed the guests in mie Prefecture on Honshu island at ISE Jingu Shrine.

This is the first summit in Japan after the 2008 meeting in Hokkaido. After the ceremony in the temple, the summit participants will travel to a hotel on the island of Kashikojima. During lunch, the leaders will talk about the values of G7, solidarity and the global economy.

Among other topics that will be discussed at five subsequent sessions, is sustaining global growth, combating terrorism, situation of refugees and climate change.

On Friday issued a Declaration of the leaders at the summit.

Earlier, the Ambassador of Japan in Ukraine Shigeki Sumi said that at the summit, Japan will raise the issue of extending sanctions against the Russian Federation and the implementation of the Minsk agreements on the settlement of the conflict in the Donbass.

“Group of seven” (“Big seven”, G7) is an Association of seven leading economically developed countries, which includes USA, Germany, Japan, UK, France, Italy and Canada.
