The economy of the Ukrainian capital with a quarter of the country’s GDP
The share of Kyiv in the country’s GDP in 2017 amounted to almost 24%, in second place-Dnipropetrovsk oblast from 10.5%.
By the end of 2017 nominal GDP totaled $ 2 trillion 983 billion 882 million UAH or UAH 70233 per person. According to the state service statistics, the biggest share in GDP accounted for Kiev – 23,4%.
Followed by Dnipropetrovsk (10,5%), Kharkivska (6,3%), Donetsk (5.6%) and Kiev 5.3% of the area.
At the end of the list are Luhansk (1.0%) and Chernivtsi (1,0%).
State statistics did not take into account data from uncontrolled territories of Crimea and Donbas.
Earlier, the state statistics service has estimated that the growth of the economy in 2018 accelerated to 3.3% from 2.5 in 2017 and broke the record for seven years.
At the same time, it is expected that in 2019, GDP growth will again slow down to 2.5%.
